Like any good fashion lover, fashion weeks are to me what Carrie Bradshaw is to a good pair of Manolos: there are never enough and we can't wait for the next one. It may seem frivolous, unnecessary or even repetitive, but nothing could be further from the truth. In just one week (about a month if you include Paris, Milan, New York and London), trends are decided, analysed and commented on on five continents. You could say that it is like a time machine that teleports us for a moment into the future to discover what and how we will dress, in what colours, and even if the curtain will be pinned or the layered cut will be worn. A kind of fabric and fantasy that invites us to dream, to express who we are and what we want to say about ourselves.
In this rigorous analysis, there are always certain garments or trends that cannot be overlooked - see JW Anderson's dove-shaped clutch or Loew's balloon shoes - and in this case, we could not fail to mention the monochrome looks. It is one of those perhaps invisible trends that are overlooked at first glance, but are repeated almost imperceptibly year after year. In the end, there is always a viral moment that captures the public's attention (and if not Bella Hadid in her now famous spray-painted dress).
In the collections of Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Jacquemus, Chanel, Valentino or Miu Miu for this spring 2023, the same trend is repeated. Everything in beige, Barbie pink, Klein blue... In short, everything in monochrome. So it is not difficult to imagine us walking around with the sun on our face in a completely white outfit, or going all out at night in one of those infallible 'total blacks'. Simple options to adapt to our wardrobe that will save us from more than one embarrassment and make us feel like we are on the catwalk.

All in white:
One of our favourite options. An all-white look is scary, we know, but few colours reflect the arrival of good weather, flowers and the countdown to the long-awaited summer so well. Sounds a bit paradoxical to say in the middle of January, when temperatures are in freefall, doesn't it? Well, we have to say that although our tan is conspicuous by its absence at this time of year, our desire to stand out and bring a touch of joy and elegance to winter is not. As influencer Gala González said in a video for Vogue Spain: "If I had to wear only one pair of trousers for the rest of my life, it would be white Levi's."

All in black:
And if we love white, we love black. Few colours are as elegant, versatile and sexy, not to mention what we all know: it is the most flattering pantone. An all-black look is not only the perfect option for the night, but also for any plans we have throughout the day. Just look at the outfits worn by Theo James, Valentina Ferragni or our national icon Miguel Ángel Silvestre at the latest Ermenildo Zegna show in Milan. 10/10.

All in brown:
There's also a good chocolate brown, beige, nude, cream or camel. Elegant colours, where they exist, that equally favour all types of skin tone (a plus if we compare it with our beloved white, it must be said). Moreover, we could say that it was the favourite colour of celebrities in 2022, and everything seems to indicate that it will continue to be so in this newly released 2023. So... what are you waiting for? Here are a few ways to effortlessly join the Rihanna, Kendall Jenner or Justin Bieber club.

All in... the colour of the season!:
If you have read our recent articles, you will know that Viva Magenta has been chosen by Pantone for the coveted position of 'Colour of the Year'. You will also know that it is a colour with a lot of positive vibes, sensual and happy, and of course we LOVE it. Sometimes it's nice to get away from it all, and what better way to do that than with equal parts empowering and magnetic colour, right?

All in blue:
Did you know that blue is the favourite colour of the majority of the population? As difficult as it is to agree, this colour range has something special to please everyone. Whether navy, pale or pastel, blue is the colour of choice for teenagers, adults and children alike. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that a look in this shade is guaranteed to be a hit. Here are some options that will not go unnoticed and that you will love.

All in pink:
Before 'Viva Magenta', pink 'Valentino' was the undisputed king of the palette. Throughout 2022, the streets were painted in this shade and, perhaps because of its addictive nature, we are reluctant to forget it. And it seems that we are finally leaving behind the belief that pink is an exclusively feminine colour (nothing could be further from the truth, as it was also originally a colour associated with masculinity), and we are surrendering to its virtues. Without a doubt... All in pink!
