Are you preparing a trip to the mountains, or are you planning to do so soon? If your thing is hiking, trekking, climbing or simply looking for a day out in nature, this is the article for you (and your website). Here's everything you need to enjoy your favourite sport in the most sought-after destination of the season.
With the new arrival of spring there are plans that are even more appealing than usual, and if, like us, you are a nature lover, a trip to the mountains is without a doubt one of them. With the days getting longer and the temperatures rising, sports that involve spending time outdoors are always in high demand, and this year, without a doubt, hiking and trekking are the trendy plans to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A trip to the mountains has many, many advantages, and here we are going to tell you all about them.
But let's take it one step at a time; not only our body will be grateful for the benefits of these sports, but also our mind. Breathing fresh air, relaxing, disconnecting from stress and dedicating time to oneself while being in contact with fauna and flora can't help our head. Moreover, this environment contributes to a more positive outlook on life, reduces mental fatigue (which means we will think more clearly and creatively) and even reduces "rumination", which is nothing more than those damned recurring thoughts that so often make us uneasy.
And if we add to this a good dose of sport, the result will be between 400 and 700 calories burned per hour, better cardiovascular conditions, oxygenation of the blood and the brain (especially at altitude) and a more than restful sleep. But for our day of mountaineering to go swimmingly and to get home with our batteries more than charged, it is important to be well equipped - and at Esdemarca, we have everything you need.

First of all, it is important to know which are the right clothes for our activity. Opting for breathable clothes that keep us dry and comfortable throughout the day, wearing several layers that allow us to adapt to temperature changes and choosing hiking trousers are recommended options, as they will provide protection and comfort during the hike. As complements, comfortable footwear with good support, a hat or cap and sunglasses to protect you from the sun should not be missing from your list.
And perhaps most importantly, a backpack with room for everything you need. Make sure you have enough water and food, as well as a compass to help you find your way in case you get lost (in case there is no cover). It is also advisable to carry a small basic first aid kit and a whistle in case of emergency, and a torch can be very useful in case it gets late and you need to light your way back. And don't forget the sun cream! In any case, at Esdemarca you'll find the perfect backpack for all of this. And the shoes. And the T-shirts. And the anoraks. In short, everything you need. Are you up for it?
