If we say Pretty Woman, The Devil Wears Prada or La La Land, surely there is more than one outfit that comes to your mind almost instantly. But have you ever thought about recreating them? Whether you have or haven't, welcome to our particular red carpet, let the show begin!
If you are regulars to our weekly deliveries, you will know that film references are not scarce among our articles. This is not only because we declare ourselves fans (what am I saying fans, absolute fanatics!) of the seventh art, but also because there are costumes that well deserve an article. This one you have in hand will deal precisely with that, to break the fourth wall and make us feel as if we've just come out of our favorite movie. Yes, you've guessed it; today we are going to recreate some of the most iconic stylings of the big screen. 3, 2, 1... Action!
1- Julia Roberts, Pretty Woman: Sometimes, fashion is (almost) as important as the plot, and 'Pretty Woman' is the perfect example of it. More than three decades ago, Marilyn Vance was responsible for constructing the looks of what might be the most famous romantic comedy in history; outfits that have already turned thirty, but could still be in our wardrobes, with great pride, today. From the sophisticated red evening dress with which 'Vivian' dazzled a young Richard Gere, to the well-known brown silk polka dot dress and matching hat, to the 'little black dress' that we will try to emulate today, which our protagonist chose for her first date with Edward.

2- Michelle Pfeiffer, Scarface: Patricia Norris was in charge of transforming a very young Michelle Pfeiffer into a 'disco diva' during her role in 'Scarface', and the ethereal satin halter neck dresses, in blue, green and red, were the culprits of a wardrobe for posterity. But, even with how complicated it is to choose just one, it is true that there is a specific model with which the actress was engraved in our retina forever; the jewel blue dress of her great staging. This time, we want to adapt it to the upcoming season, but without losing that slit on the side or that spaghetti strap neckline that stole our hearts at the time.

3- Grace Kelly, To Catch a Thief: Princess in Hollywood and in real life, the unique Grace Kelly has given us some of the most inspiring looks seen on the big screen. Among the dreamy landscapes of the French Riviera and its luxurious casinos, Edith Head, winner of eight Oscars for Best Costume, was in charge of devising for 'her muse' the considered 'most elegant wardrobe in the history of cinema'. A curiosity: it was during the filming of this movie and through a photo session at the Monaco palace where Grace met her future husband and for whom she would leave her acting career a year later, Prince Rainier of Monaco. .

4- Emma Stone, La La Land: It's not the first time we've talked about the importance of colors on this website, which is not little, and Mary Zophres demonstrates this with the colorful wardrobe of this romantic musical. A love letter to Los Angeles that guides us, through a whirlwind of tones, through the emotions and feelings of its protagonists. This time we will focus on the look of one of the most emotional duets, in which 'Mia' wears a yellow dress that evokes the glamour and elegance of classic cinema.

5- Anne Hathaway, The Devil Wears Prada: Who hasn't dreamed at some point of an idyllic cosmopolitan life, among luxury handbags, runways and takeaway coffees? Well, maybe not so idyllic if your boss is an unyielding Meryl Streep, but very, very fashionable. The person in charge of wardrobe this time could not be other than Patricia Field, also responsible for the wardrobe of great hits like Gossip Girl, Sex and the City or the recent Emily in Paris, and thanks to her our 'Andy' went from being a novice personal assistant, to the right hand of the editor in chief of a prestigious fashion magazine.

6- Rachel McAdams, The Notebook: A classic among classics in terms of romantic films. "Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants or what your parents want. What do you want? WHAT DO YOU WANT?", okay, tears aside, what we want is to recreate this look and for Noah to take us on a boat ride through a lake full of swans. But, if Ryan Gosling is too busy at the moment, at least a blue dress like Allie's will help us feel part of this iconic vintage love story.
