We suggest cleaning New Balance athletic shoes using a soft bristle brush (or an old toothbrush) and a mild detergent (either dishwasher or washing machine detergent). Make sure the detergent does not contain dyes to avoid staining. Make sure the detergent does not contain dyes to prevent staining. If you are unsure, we recommend spot-checking with the detergent to make sure there are no stains on the shoe material. Allow them to air dry for 24 hours. To remove and prevent perspiration, we recommend using a foot deodorant. We do NOT recommend washing shoes in the washing machine or using a tumble dryer, as some materials can be damaged by heat or too much water. Make sure that any cleaners you use are silicone-based to avoid damaging the footwear. Clean suede or leather footwear with products specifically for these materials. For best results, always follow the instructions on the cleaning product.
