In 1978 they chose premium leathers, we hand-stitched them and created the uppers of our three-eyelet boat shoes, which we matched with the sturdy lug soles of our boots. At that time, our hand-stitched 3-eyelet nautical shoes were born.
One or more of the main components use at least 50% leather tanned in facilities with silver certification from an external environmental audit. The Leather Working Group evaluates and classifies these tanneries based on energy consumption, waste generation and disposal, and water treatment.
