Our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. All of our efforts, big or small, add up to a global whole to create positive change. To qualify for the Checkerboard Globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made from one or more recycled, renewable and/or regenerative materials.

Product characteristics:

BALL MATERIAL: Balls made with leather products that support responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group, www.leatherworkingroup.com, and fabric made from 100% recycled PET.

INNER SOLE: New VR3Cush? midsole made from at least 50% bio-based EVA foam, partially derived from plant-based sources, according to ASTM D6866-16 standard test method.

OUTSOLE: All rubber used in the sole is made from 100% recycled PET. SOLE: All of the rubber used in the manufacture of this sole (60% of the compound) is natural, regeneratively grown and sourced from farms that use agricultural practices designed to promote biodiversity, improve water cycles and soil health and/or sequester carbon. This natural rubber compound has been developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability that Vans has been known for since 1966.
